WFTV Awards up for Awards

For a long time the WFTV Awards have been known in the industry as THE hot ticket event to go to. Kicking off the festive season at the beginning of December, for the last few years the ceremony has sold out of its 1000 tickets  in less time than it takes to say ‘Are you going to the WFTV Awards this year’.

Regular host, Sandi Toksvig.

Now, the hard work of our tiny (but perfectly formed) team has been recognised by the Global Conference Network’s Awards Awards, which recognise excellence and exceptional quality in Awards.

The WFTV Awards have been announced as finalists in two categories:

– Best Overall Awards Event over 500 Attendees

– Best Longstanding Awards Event

Commenting on the news, WFTV Chief Executive Kate Kinninmont, MBE said:

Natalie Samson (right) celebrating with production assistants after another successful ceremony.

“The recent glitch at the end of the Oscars reminds us of how even the best run events can  go wrong.  We’ve been very fortunate –  so far! We’ve been running our WFTV awards for 26 years and every year our attendees tell us it was the best ever!

Kudos to Natalie Samson, our awards supremo, and her terrific team of production assistants, as well as Helen Alexander, our Head of Production. We’re thrilled to be finalists in these prestigious awards.”

The awards will be announced at a ceremony taking place at London’s Plasters’ Hall on Friday 12 May. Wish us luck!
