New BFI Report Recommendations Aim to Boost UK Independent Film Sector

The BFI’s Commission on UK Independent Film has released a report outlining a range of proposals with the aim of boosting the independent film sector in the UK.

The Commission’s report makes four key industry-led proposals alongside five recommendations for the BFI and UK government to consider, including a new EIS fund to channel equity into UK independent film companies, more commercial development funding, and projects to engage and grow younger audiences.
