Six Month Contract
Salary: £21,000 pro rata
Hours: 10 – 6pm with at least one evening event per week (time off in lieu to be arranged with Line Manager)
Reporting to: CEO
Location: Bloomsbury, London

About Us

Women in Film & TV (UK) is the leading membership organisation for women working in creative media in the UK, and part of an international network of over 13,000 women worldwide. We have over 1,300 members from a broad range of professions spanning the entire creative media industry.

We host a variety of industry events throughout the year, present a prestigious awards ceremony every December, and run a mentoring programme for women in the industry. We also host monthly networking evenings, collaborate with industry bodies on research projects, and campaign for gender equality in the industry.


Job Description

We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic team player who will be happy to take on a range of tasks from general office work to assisting with events and networking evenings. Duties will include:

 Assisting our Awards & Events Producer with the delivery of WFTV members’ events:-
– Helping to host events
– Liaising with speakers
– Booking venues
– Drafting copy for the newsletter/website
– Managing guest lists
– Arranging catering
– Welcoming and networking with members
– General event admin tasks

Assisting our Administrator with office administration tasks:-
– Being the first point of contact for incoming phone calls
– Monitoring WFTV email inboxes and responding to basic enquiries
– Monitoring stationery and office supplies, making purchases when required
– Setting up for meetings and making tea/coffee for guests
– General office tasks such as printing, photocopying and shredding

Skills and Competencies

Essential:
– Confident, with an excellent telephone manner
– Competent in using an Apple Mac computer
– Knowledge of Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel, Word
– Knowledge of Photoshop
– Ability to post and update content on the website and on social media, such as – Instagram
– Impeccable organisational skills, including great attention to detail
– Excellent communication skills
– Adaptable and willing to take on a range of tasks
– Ability to show initiative and be pro-active
– Good team player

Desirable:
– Knowledge of WordPress
– Experience of working on events
– A keen interest in film and TV
