Writers’ Group: In Conversation with Award-winning Screenwriter Abi Morgan

For the first writers’ group of the year WFTV will be joined by the award-winning playwright and screenwriter Abi Morgan.

As a screenwriter, Abi’s TV work includes Eric, The Split, Birdsong and The Hour and film credits include Brick Lane, Iron Lady and Suffragette.

In conversation with Christina Pickworth, Abi will be discussing her career to date and behind the scenes insight to recent projects including her six-part Netflix series Eric starring Benedict Cumberbatch and upcoming two-part special of The Split, as well as insight to her writing process.

Abi Morgan is an award-winning playwright and screenwriter.

Her plays include Skinned, Sleeping Around, Splendour (Paines Plough); Tiny Dynamite (Traverse); Tender (Hampstead Theatre); Fugee (National Theatre), 27 (National Theatre of Scotland), Love Song (Frantic Assembly) and The Mistress Contract (Royal Court Theatre).
