WFTV Writers Group: In Conversation with Georgia Goggin

13th February 2019 18:30

Wednesday 13 February| 6:30pm – 8:30pm (session starts 7pm) |Theatres Trust, 22 Charing Cross Road

The WFTV Writers’ Group meets each month for an informal gathering to give writers a chance to share experiences, swap tips, and reconnect with the world for a couple of hours.

For February’s meeting, join WFTV Writers Group Producer Christina Pickworth in welcoming Georgia Goggin.

Short films are a wonderful way to gain film-making experience and learn your craft, but are also a brilliant medium in their own right – a chance to tell stories and show points of view that might not otherwise make it onto screens – whatever your experience. They are a chance to showcase talent and ideas on smaller, more accessible budgets, and of course are an opportunity to bring something from script to screen in a far more immediate way than the time it takes to make a feature. Shorts producer Georgia Goggin joins us to talk about her experience of making award-winning short films and offer her advice on her dos and don’ts for shorts success.
