WFTV Writers’ Group: In conversation with Danielle Scott-Haughton

For October’s session, Writers’ Group Series Producer Christina Pickworth will be in conversation with Danielle Scott-Haughton, Development Executive at Balloon Entertainment.

Christina and Danielle will be speaking about everything from coming up with ideas and creating scripts, to pitching to companies and working through the development process.


Danielle Scott-Haughton is a development executive at Balloon Entertainment. Danielle served as script editor on Balloon’s Channel 4 and Netflix drama series Kiss Me First. Danielle moved into development, having worked as a post-production coordinator at Mentorn Sunset & Vine Post-Production. Before MSV she created the web series Dear Jesus and its spin off The Alexis Show for which she won a Screen Nation Award.



Christina Pickworth is an agent for writers and directors at a small, bespoke agency Imagine Talent, with a list that focuses on emerging talent and female voices. Christina has written feature films, consulted for production companies and financiers and freelanced at United Agents, as well as spending several years working in film development finance for a fund that invested in 300 British film projects over 3 years. Christina has previously sat on the selection committee for the BAFTA Rocliffe screenwriting competitions. She was the assistant chair for the Fremantle UK New Talent Award, as part of the Women in Film & Television Awards 2012 and has been a mentor for First Light.
