WFTV Wales: Christmas Party

12th December 2019 19:30

Thursday 12 December | 19:30 – Until late

Porter’s Cardiff | Harlech Court, Bute Terrace | Cardiff | CF10 2FE

It’s been a wonderful start for Women in Film & TV Wales, with packed-out events and socials. To round-off the year, we are delighted to announce our Christmas get-together!

Without further ado, you are invited to get your sparkle on and join us for festive drinks and indulge in seasonal treats on Thursday 12 December at Porter’s Cardiff. Catch up with old faces or meet some new, and maybe we’ll have a good singalong and boogeying while the Mellingriffith Brass band provide music and pop Christmas tunes!

During the evening there will also be a raffle for guests, with prizes including:

  • A day’s pony trekking in Brecon, thanks to Emily Hogan Turner at Trans Wales Horseback Trails
  • A signed copy of ‘The House Without Windows’ by Barbara Newhall-Follett, illustrated by Jackie Morris, an amazing book with an equally interesting backstory of the author’s life. Illustrated by local talent and with strong feminist undertones. Thanks to Emma Corfield-Walters at Book-ish Crickhowell
  • A signed copy of ‘Widows Welcome’ by DK Fields, kindly donated by one of the authors, Kath Stansfield. The first part in a fantasy trilogy written by Cardiff-based authors.

In addition there will also be Jo Malone goodies, a buffet with mince pies kindly supplied by St David’s Hotel, and music to bring the Christmas spirit closer.

This event is free for WFTV members and costs a small nominal fee of £5 for non-members. Entry to the venue is only guaranteed until 20:00, so please make sure you arrive in good time.
