Panel Discussion

WFTV Panel: Below the Line Agents

15th September 2020 18:00

Tuesday 15 September | 18:00-19:15

Join WFTV for a panel event about how to get an agent if you are ‘below the line’ talent. There are a wide range of production roles that fall into this category including; DoPs, 1st ADs, editors, sound recordists, stunt coordinators, through to costume and hair and make-up.

Chaired by Sara Putt, the founder of Sara Putt Associates, this session is aimed at freelance heads of department who are thinking that they would like representation but don’t quite know how to go about it, or what to expect from it, and also for those who have an agent but are unsure as to how to manage the relationship.

Sara will be in conversation with a panel of agents; Rosa Romero, Casarotto Ramsay & Associates, Alison Law, McKinney Macartney Management and Laurily Adams, Sara Putt Associates, all of whom will bring their unique insights and experience to the discussion. Key elements will include; when and how to approach agents, what your role in the relationship should be, what agents can – and can’t do; and how you know when the talent-agent relationship is working well.

By the end of the event you will have a greater understanding of the role of an agent, more confidence in how to go about finding the right agent for you; and a range of tools to help develop that relationship.
