WFTV Event: Tips on Applying for the WFTV Mentoring Schemes

If you are thinking about entering for one of the WFTV mentoring schemes and would like to find out more about the schemes work and how to apply, then this event is for you.
Hosted by WFTV Chair Liz Tucker, WFTV mentoring producers Tracy Forsyth and Sarah McCaffrey will explain the areas and content that the schemes cover and advise on the crucial information you need to include when completing your application. And WFTV 2020 mentee Mel Bezalel will talk about her experience of the scheme and how it has helped her career.
Tracy is the mentoring producer for the England mentoring scheme and next year, will also take on a larger role as the executive producer across all the WFTV Mentoring Schemes. She is also a creative mentor of the Channel 4 Indie Growth Fund and a executive coach.
Sarah is the mentoring producer for the Northern Ireland Mentoring Scheme. She is currently a commercial rights and business affairs executive in the BBC children’s department. Prior to this she has worked at UTV and a number of independent production companies.
Mel was a mentee on the 2020 WFTV Mentoring Scheme. She is currently Director of Development at RDF Television. Prior to this, Mel previously worked in development and production at indies across documentaries, factual entertainment, and formats.
This is an event for all women working in the film and television industry and is open to WFTV members and non-members.
