Tracy Forsyth, WFTV Mentoring Scheme Producer was joined by Sharon Henry, Sharon Henry Management, Nicola Ibison, Ibison Talent and Sara Sehdev, Core Management and will be getting the inside track. We’ll hear what kind of person or qualities it takes to be successful, the trials, tribulations and highs and lows of working in the role, and some insider advice for women who want to pursue this career.
Tracy Forsyth, Executive Coach & Media Consultant
As Creative Mentor to the Channel 4 Indie Growth Fund Advisory Board, Tracy advises a number of independent production companies on growth strategy, company USP and branding and how to maximise value of global IP. Tracy is also the mentoring scheme producer for WFTV and creator and host of the innovative and immersive Yoga in the Boardroom.
Sharon Henry, Founder, Sharon Henry Management
Sharon Henry has worked in this industry for over three decades; starting out as a junior agent with JLM Personal Management, she then went onto become a senior agent and eventually the managing director of the company. Following this she was instrumental in the creation of ‘Qtalent’ – the talent management branch of Qdos Entertainment – then in 2014 started her own agency, Sharon Henry Management. In this time she has developed a strong network of contacts across the industry and her knowledge ensures that she makes a substantial contribution to the entertainment industry across all mediums of film, television, theatre, commercials and radio.
Sara Sehdev, Talent Manager & Founder, Core MGMT
Having started her career working at Independent, Hamilton Hodell and Spotlight, Sara Sehdev created Core MGMT, a boutique talent agency that specialises in nurturing diverse and international talent. Her clients work on some of the biggest shows on the planet, including Game of Thrones, Killing Eve and Chernobyl.
Alongside this, she has recently started Three Little Birds Pictures, a production company with inclusion at its heart, which currently has two features and a series in development.
Nicola Ibison, CEO & Founder, Ibison Talent
Nicola is a longstanding artist manager of more than 20 years. Until 5 years ago, she was Head of the Factual, Sports Media and Specialist divisions of James Grant Management, where her clients included Clare Balding, Eamonn Holmes, The Hairy Bikers and Gabby Logan.
In 2015, she set up a new executive search business which specialises in senior and leadership roles in broadcast, sport, news, and digital media. Successful placements have included a CEO of a global news organisation, a Chief Marketing Officer and a Head of Scripted for Fulwell 73. Alongside the executive search, she also runs a boutique talent management company.
