Then come to our next WFTV Midlands event with Sarah Jones, global influencer in virtual reality & Head of School, Birmingham School of Media

Technology is providing creative and immersive ways to reach audiences.  From sharable AR  to entertaining VR or 360 cameras come along to our event to discover and experience the latest technologies in immersive storytelling which could help you devise new ways to entertain audiences or enhance the experience of the shows you are developing through incorporating platforms and technologies.

 

Sarah Jones is the Head of the Birmingham School of Media at Birmingham City University. Her practice and research sits within emerging technologies and the development of immersive experiential films. She has a PhD in story-living as a form of immersive VR and AR experiences. Sarah is listed in the top 15 global influencers in virtual reality and has worked with Digital Catapult, Immerse UK, Wired Magazine and more within these areas. Sarah has also given evidence to the UK Government’s Select Committee on Immersive Technology. Sarah is a Google Jump Creator and has created immersive experiences shown are festivals across the world.

Sarah is an Apple Distinguished Educator, a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
