Join Kate Barekati, Partner at ECOVIS Wingrave Yeats, and Tessa Laws, Partner at AcuityLaw for an informal Q&A breakfast.  They will take you through the legal and financial potholes on the road to receiving funding or selling your business.

Tessa and Kate have between them worked on funding indies from £200k through to £10m so are well placed to answer any queries you have around finding the perfect suitor, the due diligence process and issues you need to cover off before you go out seeking funding or before you sell.

Tessa Laws is a partner at AcuityLaw – she is based in their Soho office. Her practice revolves around media companies – agencies, TV production and talent. Tessa and fellow panellists with be hosting a Legal Breakfast at Acuity Laws.


Kate Barekati is a partner at ECOVIS Wingrave Yeats, a full-service professional services firm based in Soho, having joined the Firm in 2007.  As the Head of Media & Entertainment team Kate blends her technical accounting and audit background with providing proactive, practical and relevant advice and training to support the journey of creative businesses, teaching her clients along the way.  Her experience spans right across the sector, to include film, PR, radio and digital agencies and ranges from start-up through to exit, and from smaller indies to large and more complex groups who have taken on investment from third parties.

The talk will be  focused on preparation for funding and/or exit for TV production companies.
