WFTV Event: Networking for Mums with Babies
Monday 29 April | 11:30am – 13:30pm | St Anne’s Church, 55 Dean Street, W1D 6AF
WFTV would like to invite members, their babies and young children to join us for coffee and cake to meet other mothers working in the film and TV industry. It’ll be an opportunity to share ideas and discuss the challenges faced when trying to juggle work and parenting.
At almost every WFTV event, members raise questions about childcare, the difficulties of taking time out and returning to work after children. Research by ScreenSkills has found a significant drop-off of women in the industry around the age of 35, citing childcare as a key factor. So WFTV really hope you can join us to share your thoughts about what the industry can and should do to help parents manage both work and motherhood successfully.
The session will be hosted by board member Zeb Achonu, and her five month old daughter, Nia. Zeb inspired us all in March when she ran her Guide to Editing Documentary and Factual Entertainment Shows WFTV event with baby Nia accompanying her in a sling.
If you can’t attend this event, please email the WFTV office giving at least 48 hours’ notice. So that we can continue to attract the guests that we do, it’s vital we can be confident that members will attend an event they have booked. Therefore for any non-attendance, we operate a penalty system. If anybody has not given us a minimum of 48 hours’ notice, we suspend their booking privileges for 28 days. After that you are then very welcome to book future WFTV events again.
