We now live very firmly in the Digital Era and, as such, it’s becoming increasingly more common to use digital platforms search for job opportunities and connect with contacts on a professional level. Posting content, sharing, liking these days is not only to celebrate your social life but also your career highlights and get noticed to prospective employers or buyers. But what is the best way of doing this? How can using Linked in, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and the like enhance your personal brand and increase your job prospects?
WFTV have gathered some of the brightest minds in the business to give us the low-down. Expect tips on best practice, digital platform do’s and don’ts and everything you need to make sure your presence is effective online.

As Creative Mentor to the Channel 4 Indie Growth Fund Advisory Board, Tracy advises a number of independent production companies on growth strategy, company USP and branding and how to maximise value of global IP.
Tracy is also the mentoring scheme producer for WFTV and creator and host of the innovative and immersive Yoga in the Boardroom.
Nancy Elgadi, Digital Director at Right Angles PR, a global public relations and reputation management practice for high-profile individuals, CEOs and entrepreneurs. She originally studied journalism, beginning her career as a financial reporter at Informa Global Markets. In 2016 she completed an MA in digital media at Goldsmiths university and moved into social media marketing. She then joined Right Angles in 2018 as head of social media to manage clients’ social media presence and digital content. A few months later, she joined the management team as the company’s youngest director. In her current role, she manages all aspects of Right Angles’ digital presence, for clients and on behalf of the company itself, and oversees delivery on all aspects of clients’ PR and social media strategy in order to establish their personal brands and position them as thought leaders. In her spare time she writes and comments on the digital world.
Zoe Clapp, ex CMO of UKTV is one of Marketing Week’s Top 100 Marketers and sits on the Council of ISBA. She was previously Chief Marketing & Communications Officer of UKTV, the BBC Studios company, and a non-executive director of Thinkbox. Last year her teams won accolades including PR Week Best Place to Work and Best Use of Social Media, as well as silver for the British Media Awards’ Marketing Team of the Year. She teaches the Future Leaders programme for Creative Equals, mentors global creative leaders at Cannes Lions, and is an active member of WACL, an industry organisation bringing together the most senior female leaders in marketing and communications
Peter Cowley, CEO and Founder of Spirit, a company he setup with business partner Matt Campion in 2010. Spirit is a multi-platform production & audience building company. Specialising in branded content, short and long form content for Broadcasters, running and operating digital channels & platforms. Spirit is known for its TV series including The Stand Up Sketch Show for ITV2, the Lion Whisperer YouTube/Facebook channels and the mental health campaign #IAMWHOLE.
Peter is one of the best known and award-winning digital media pioneers in the UK: having launched the first Interactive TV trials on Cable TV starting in 1992; building the pioneering ISPs (internet service providers) for Cable & Wireless in the UK & Australia; and the UK’s first broadband internet service for Freeserve in 2000. After moving in to the content world, he developed whilst at Endemol: the digital & social media extensions across the Big Brother, Fame Academy & Deal or No Deal TV franchises from 2003-2010; launched the UK’s most successful play-along TV gameshow, The Million Pound Drop; and launched a number of pioneering Digital Original ‘web’ series between 2007-2010 including successful scripted and unscripted shows for platforms & distributors including O2, BBC online, Myspace, Bebo, Crackle and YouTube.
Dinita ”Dee” Moore, Social Media Consultant, Hue & Satch, a Social Media and Digital Content expert with 7 years experience working with brands like Red Bull, BBC Three, Endemol, Sonos and M & C Saatchi. Most recently working on The Rap Game UK and Ladhood. Working on everything from broadcasting and entertainment to technology and tobacco. A digital native with a passion for story-telling built on a background in broadcast journalism, Dinita and her business partner have recently launched Hue & Satch a social media agency aimed at providing social media consultancy and account management.
