WFTV Event: Foley & ADR Workshop at Clear Cut
Foley & ADR Workshop at Clear Cut Pictures
Tuesday 6 June | 18:30 – 21:00 | Clear Cut, 1 Springvale Terrace, Shepherds Bush, W14 0AE
What happens to the sound on your project after it leaves the picture edit and hits the dubbing theatre? What is ADR, Foley and what does sound design involve?
Women in Film and Television are delighted to partner with Clear Cut Pictures for an interactive workshop that will take you through the process of post-production audio and explain exactly what happens at each stage.
You will get the chance to record Foley and hear how it can change and enhance a scene. Ben Newth, Head of Audio at Clear Cut, along with Dubbing Mixer Emma Butt will breakdown the differences between sound design, track-laying and mixing; and show you what can be done to fix poor quality location sound, alongside the process of ADR.
Please arrive from 18:30 for a prompt 19:00 start.

Clear Cut Pictures
The lines between the worlds of Production and Post Production are becoming increasingly blurred. It therefore helps to call upon the wealth of experience that we have here at Clear Cut Pictures.
We have been assisting our clients to deliver award-winning programmes for over 20 years. We have been nominated for and won our own awards. We were voted the UK’s Best Post Production House at the Broadcast Awards 2011, having been finalists in 2010, 2013 & 2014.
The knowledge and experience that we have gained, allows us to pass on to our clients the latest thinking and advice on new camera formats and workflows. We are here to help you.
We are one of the largest Broadcast Post Production facilities in the UK. We Operate 60 edit suites across three sites. They are all connected by dark fibre.
Our team have worked on many high profile and landmark series, and we will always strive, to find new and innovative ways of making your budget work for you.
A facility is more than just a collection of machines. Without dedication, creativity, flexibility and attention to detail, by the Post Production Team, the hard work that is done by you in the production team can be let down.
The teams of Post Producers, Runners and Creative staff here at Clear Cut Pictures will always go the extra mile to make sure that what is on screen stands out from the crowd.
We are dedicated to staying ahead of the market by ensuring our clients have the ‘best in business’ talent and the very latest equipment at their disposal.
Our core remit, has always been, and will continue to be, “to put our client’s money onscreen and deliver high value post production!”
