Indielab is the leading growth programme in the TV sector, helping content companies boost growth and access investment.
Indielab accelerator takes place from March-June each year. High-level briefings from 50+ industry leaders and master-classes on business growth and investment-readiness help ambitious companies find the contacts, knowledge and investment they need to succeed. Indielab’s founder and chief executive Victoria Powell leads the organisation. She founded Indielab in 2015 to open up the finance market for TV Indies and enable new routes to investment.
Victoria is a former TV producer and co-founder of V Good Films, which was acquired by Illumina (then part of All3 Media) in 2008. She has served an advisor to the Shadow Minister for Media and Communications and is a member of the Access to Finance committee, a sub group of the Creative Industries Council, the joint forum between the creative industries and UK Government.
Sarah Lazarides advises clients on a broad range of commercial issues in the media and entertainment sector, primarily surrounding the development, production, distribution and exploitation of rights in the film, television and theatre industries. She acts for a wide range of clients including film and television producers, major US studios, writers, directors and artists. Sarah has provided industry specific legal support on a number of corporate deals involving independent production companies, acting for clients from across the market, from established Emmy award winning producers to newly established companies receiving their first investment. In 2016 this included investments from, amongst others, BBC Worldwide, Fremantle, All3Media and LionsGate.
