BAFTA unveils 2019 Breakthrough Brits
BAFTA has announced the 20 talented newcomers from film, games and television selected by an industry jury as this year’s Breakthrough Brits.
Twelve women made the list, including WFTV member, Kirstie Swain, the writer of Channel 4 comedy-drama Pure.
The Breakthrough Brits initiative offers access to unique career development and mentoring opportunities for those involved. Also featured this year are Saint Maud writer/director, Rose Glass; Animals producer Sarah Brocklehurst; and Love Island producer Coco Jackson.
