BAFTA TV Craft Award wins for WFTV Award winners

Congratulations to Kate Hopkins and Sally Wainwright who both picked up Awards at this year’s BAFTA TV Craft Awards, which took place on Sunday 23rd April.

Dubbing Editor and Sound Designer Kate Hopkins won in the Sound: Factual category for her work on Planet Earth II (Cities). Kate was a WFTV Award winner in 2014, when she was presented her award by Sue Perkins.

2013 winner Sally Wainwright won in the Writer: Drama category for the critically-acclaimed drama Happy Valley.

It was also great to see that rising star Mahalia Belo won the Breakthrough Talent Award sponsored by Sara Putt Associates for her direction on Channel 4 film Ellen, which was written by fellow-nominee Sarah Quintrell.
