Applications Open for 2019 Writers Lab for Women Over 40
The Writers Lab is a four-day script development workshop that gives women screenwriters over 40 the opportunity to work intensively on their feature film scripts with the support of established writers, directors, and producers.
The Lab is presented by New York Women in Film & Television, and Founder Kyle Stokes, and Co-founders Elizabeth Kaiden and Nitza Wilon. The Writers Lab seeks well crafted scripts, in all genres, exploring universal themes, using a full range of cinematic tools.
The retreat takes place in beautiful and private locations that minimise distractions and promote creativity and confidence. Through one-on-one meetings, panel discussions, guest speakers, and group meals, mentors and writers engage in a rigorous process that provides support in both the craft and commerce of screenwriting.
The fifth annual Writers Lab Retreat will take place 2 – 6 October 2019 at the Guest House Retreat Center in Chester, CT.
