£250k Short Film Fund Backed By Noel Clarke and Jason Maza

Unstoppable Film and Television, the production company helmed by Noel Clarke and Jason Maza is partnering with film funding platform Genera on their £250,000 fund for the worldwide production of shorts.

“Short films are notoriously difficult to find funding for, so we were immediately excited by what Genera represents – a no strings attached short film funding process, that only offers support to film makers when they require, allowing them to be truly independent,” Clarke and Maza commented.

Genera was launched last year and offers filmmakers an alternative route to crowd-funding and funding bodies for getting their short films funded and made. It works on a submissions basis, and funding rounds take place every quarter. Filmmakers can apply for up to £5000 to help towards a short film project at any stage in production.

Clarke, Maza and Genera founder Christian Parton plan to extend the fund to feature-length film and TV projects too.
