Over 120 members and guests attended the biggest WFTV UK networking event of the year so far, held in the trendy Living Room bar in London. 

Attendees were treated to advice on networking at festivals by Lyn Burgess, life coach for The Magic Key Partnership, as she shared twelve gems of information to help even the most shy amongst us embrace and enjoy networking. Samantha Bakhurst, an executive producer at October Films, then answered questions fielded by WFTV Chief Executive Kate Kinninmont about how to pitch your projects to commissioners, revealing some very useful information and advice from an insider's perspective.

If people weren't feeling relaxed enough after Lyn's reassuring words about networking they sure were by the time Ewan Lacey from The Tiny Cellar Company had finished. He provided a wine tasting mini-class for anyone who wanted to participate (the free wine involved meant that included just about everyone in the room) complete with chocolate nibbles and squirts of lemon juice, which both affect the experience of wine in different ways.

The rest of the evening was spent networking and contact swapping, which seemed to be occuring very happily judging by the steady flow of voices that filled the room.
