11th July: Open day at Shepperton Studios
An exclusive chance to have an indepth look inside the famous Shepperton Studios, part of the Pinewood Studios Group.
Shepperton Studios, is set in the grounds of Littleton Park Manor; a 17th century manor house in Surrey, Shepperton Studios or Sound City as it was formerly known began production in 1931. It is often described as the home of independent production, attracting some of the world’s most revolutionary film and television makers.
Shepperton has world class facilities for major national and international film production, filmed television, the filming of commercials, post production sound services and media related businesses. There are 16 stages, over 30 acres of grounds for filming including a manor house, formal gardens, woods, river and fields. The studios have an expert team of mixers and facilities for audio post production, production accommodation and an extensive range of construction facilities. The studios are also home to a multitude of specialist media and production support companies with a wealth of expertise in their fields.
The studios are situated close to the M4, M3 and M25. Heathrow Airport is just over 8 miles away and the studios are ideally positioned for direct access to central London
Recent film and TV productions shot at the studios include, The Golden Compass, The Golden Age, Moon, Cranford, Beautiful People, Gladiators and Thomas the Tank Engine. The Boat that Rocked and Harry Potter 6 second unit is currently in production.

Due to the fact that the Hampton Court Flower Show is also on, and our bus route has no alternative but to pass through on our way to Shepperton, we have rescheduled the pick-up time outside BAFTA (195 Piccadilly) fifteen minutes earlier than advised to 9.15am
Please amend your travel plans accordingly!
09.15 Coach will leave 9.15am from BAFTA (195 Piccadilly, London, W1 and will return at the end of the day.
