Our Privacy Policy outlines how we treat any private information you provide about yourself to us. It covers the data that we collect, what use is made of that information and your data protection rights that we observe in the running of our Site.

In using the site, you the user consent to the terms of our Privacy Policy. Any changes to the Privacy Policy will be drawn to your attention on the Site, and your continued use of the Site shall be deemed to constitute your acceptance of such change. We collect personal information from our users either during the registration process when becoming a member, or by your direct submission of personal data to the Site, or from browsing behaviour, where cookies may be used.

4.1 to assist us in registering your membership online via the Site and setting up and managing your account on the Site and membership details;

The Site is set up to use "cookie" information collection technology - information that is automatically collected on the user’s browser through the site - for the purpose of:

6.1 allowing users to log on automatically without being required to register each time to access the Restricted Materials (as defined in the Terms of Use for the Site); and

Applicants for membership are required to complete an Application Form, on the Site. If the applicant is accepted for membership the information submitted by the applicant (which will comprise name, email address, credits and awards, and relevant category) may be published on the Site and at our other website at www.wifti.org at the Member’s request.

9. UPDATING YOUR INFORMATION
If any of the personal information you have submitted changes, please notify us at info@wftv.org.uk.

10. MARKETING MATERIAL

We may use your personal information to notify you by email about important functionality changes and alterations to the Site, and to provide you with information about our own products and/or services which are similar to those we provide on the Site. We may also use your personal information, or permit selected third parties to use your personal information, to contact you about goods and services which may be of interest to you, where you have given us permission to do so. If you do not wish to receive any such communications from us or third parties, you may opt out by notifying us at info@wftv.org.uk.
We may offer you the opportunity to sign up to a mailing list and/or newsletter, to participate in a survey or a competition, or to receive information by email about third parties’ products and services, or any other products and services which we provide. If a Member chooses to have their personal information published on the website at www.wifti.org, it may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (‘EEA’). By making this choice, the Member consents to such transfer. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that the Member’s personal information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy, but please note that www.wifti.org may not offer the same level of legal protection for the Member’s personal information.
If Women in Film & Television (UK) Limited or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, personal data held by it about its customers may be one of the transferred assets.

12. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES
This Privacy Policy forms part of the Terms of Use for the Site. You agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute or claim of whatever nature arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy and you consent to the use of your personal data, as outlined in this Privacy Policy, and you agree that the laws of England and Wales shall govern any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy.
